BBQ

A big thank you to Ian and Jane of the Doulton Stud for kindly letting us use their facilities for this fund raising event. What an excellent day, lots of food, a chance to catch up with friends and the weather! So hot we were all BBQ’d as well. For those of you who couldn’t make it, you missed a great day. These fund raising events are put on not only to boost the clubs financial standing but to give members a chance to catch up and have a gossip, if you don’t attend then the club will eventually fold. Please try and attend events put on by your hard working committee or suggest events that you think may attract more members. It is your club!

Summer Show

Well another show with improved entries. New qualifiers for CHAPS and a Welsh medal rosette may have help to increase entries and we are hopefully on the show map now. The weather held for most of the day with just a small shower during the Supremes. A big thank you to Mrs Mansfield Parnell for judging these classes;

The committee would like to express their thanks to all the judges, stewards and competitors, who helped to make this show a success.

DATES FOR YOU DIARY

AGM

Ian and Jane Williams are stepping down from the committee at the AGM and we would like to thank them both for all their hard work in helping to get Area 27 up and running again, they will be missed though have offered to help out whenever they can. This means that we have 3 vacancies for the committee. If you think you would be able to give up some of your time, one evening a month and on event days, then complete the nomination form included in this mailing.

AGM is on 15th October at the Faenol Fawr Hotel, Bodalwyddan, at 7.30pm

FOAL & YEARLING SHOW

October 24th at Northop Equestrian Centre, schedule included. This year we have added a few yearling classes if they prove a success we may add more.

If any members have suggestions for activities they would like to be put on then please let us know. This is your Area so ideas most welcome.
